Many players have a tendency to grip the stick too tight with their bottom hand.  With a tight bottom-hand grip, players develop bad tendencies.  Whether it's chopping the puck or gripping the stick too low, these habits have a tendency to stick and ruin a players optimal mechanics.

For decades, casual players and pros alike have tried to combat this tendency by sliding a PVC pipe over their stick and practice stationary shooting and stickhandling.  The issue here is that you can't simulate in-game scenarios because when you let go of the pipe, it slides down to the bottom of your stick.

The design of the Slick Mitt™ allows you to play as you normally would, without worrying about keeping 2 hands on your stick.  The unique hinged design and straps allow the device to open and close around your stick as you would in a game.  The included straps keep the device securely attached in the palm of your glove.

Pro-Level Success Stories

Patrick Kane and Conor Bedard have earned a reputation for being some of the smoothest stickhandlers and shooters in the NHL.  One interesting thing about both players is that they broke their wrist as kids.  Being hockey players, they continued their season, with a cast on.  Both players recall an noticeable improvement in their game when they were forced to rely more on their top hand.  On practicing with the cast on:

"I just hand one hand on my stick, top hand, and stickhandled with one hand...I think it made it a little bit stronger."

- Conor Bedard (2023 NHL First Round Draft Pick)

"His shot jumped another level that year."
- Tom Bedard (Conor Bedard's Father)
